Romeo y Julieta

Cuba · est. 1875 · Habanos S.A. (Cuba) / Altadis (U.S.)

Founded in Havana in 1875 and made famous after 1903 by José "Pepín" Rodríguez Fernández, who printed personalised bands for individual customers and entered his cigars in every exhibition he could reach. Churchill smoked them, which is why a 7 x 47 is called a Churchill. Cuban Romeo y Julieta belongs to Habanos S.A.; Altadis owns the name in the United States and makes a Dominican version.
