Something is wrong in the app
Write to hello@mycigarshelf.com and say what you were doing when it happened. The three things that make a problem findable are the device (iPhone 15, Pixel 8), the app version from the bottom of the Profile screen, and what you expected to happen instead.
A screenshot is worth more than a description. If the app crashed, a crash report has already gone out on its own, so roughly when it happened is usually enough to find it.
The band scan offered the wrong cigar
A band carries the marque, sometimes the line, and never the vitola, so the scan returns candidates rather than an answer, and nothing lands in your humidor unconfirmed. When the right cigar is not among them, the form opens with what the scan read, and typing in the name field searches the registry from there.
Scanning is limited on the free plan, and the limit is shared with the other shelf apps on the same account. Searching and typing are not limited, so a missed scan never blocks an add.
A cigar is wrong, or missing
The registry is an edited list, and it can be wrong. Write and say which cigar and which field, and it gets corrected for everyone.
It will also never hold everything. Hand-rolls, shop blends and regional editions are not in it, so add those by hand: the name field is the search, and ignoring its suggestions is exactly what manual entry looks like. Nothing about a hand-entered cigar is second class.
Deleting your account
Profile opens from the top of the Home screen, and Delete account sits near the bottom of it. It erases your humidor, every cigar in it, your wishlist, your journal and every photo you have uploaded, and it cannot be undone.
Your sign-in is shared with the other shelf apps. Deleting here erases My Cigar Shelf only: a collection in another shelf app stays, and so does the sign-in that carries it. The app says all of this again before it acts.
If you cannot get into the app, the deletion page explains how to ask by mail instead. Write from the address you signed up with.
Subscriptions
One subscription covers every shelf app on the same account. It is billed by Apple or by Google, not by us, so it is cancelled the same way: in your App Store or Play Store account settings. Deleting the app, or the account, cancels nothing.
Restore purchases is on the Profile screen if a subscription bought on another device or in another shelf app has not appeared.
